In 2018 we had the pleasure of developing the branding for a Hanoi bad restaurant called Bao Wow.
We built a utilitarian language of black + white, bold type, and a memorable characterful logo inspired by the traditional hand carved stone ink block printing found in Vietnam. We applied the new brand visual language to murals, bespoke beverages, utensils, packaging, uniforms and their website.
In 2019, Bao Wow became the top rated restaurant on Trip Advisor in Hanoi, a city of 8.5 million residents.
Bao Wow make the finest bao’s in Hanoi, the flavours are divine and the atmosphere is electric. They are still one of Hanoi’s top rated restaurants today in 2025.
